The official spokesman for the coalition forces, “Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen,” Major General Turki Al-Maliki, stated that based on the inherent and legitimate right to self-defense to protect the security and safety of the Kingdom’s territories and to safeguard its citizens and residents, and in response to the repeated attacks by the terrorist Houthi militia attempting to target civilians and civilian objects in the Kingdom and Yemen using ballistic missiles and drones, the coalition’s joint forces command carried out a qualitative military operation aimed at neutralizing sources of threat.

Major General Al-Maliki added that the qualitative operation included the destruction and neutralization of legitimate military targets in areas under the control of the terrorist Houthi militia.
